Super Aguri F1 assets to be auctioned

The assets of the Super Aguri F1 team โ€“ which collapsed earlier this season due to chronic debts โ€“ are to be auctioned off at the end of the month.

The defunct Leafield-based outfit is currently in administration after its F1 dream died on 5 May [see separate story โ€“ click here], having competed in just 39 grands prix in the top flight since the beginning of the 2006 campaign.

It was confirmed over the weekend of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, by British commercial and industrial auctioneer SHM Smith Hodgkinson, that the assets will go under the hammer on 31 July, F1SA reports.

The small Japanese Honda satellite is presently being administered by PKF.

Interested bidders will be able to view the lots, including cars and transporters, at Leafield late in July.

Over the course of its two-and-a-half year history in the uppermost echelon, Takuma Sato, Anthony Davidson, Franck Montagny, Sakon Yamamoto and Yuji Ide all raced for Super Aguri.
