WTF, so now Rafael Nadal is fit to speak on F1. What does he know, oh hey, wait up, Spanish tennis player plugs Spanish F1 driver, duh.

Did FA give a quick call to RN and ask for a quick plug, just to keep his name and the link with Ferrari in the news? Sad, very sad.

F1 » Alonso and Ferrari belong together, observers insist

Fernando Alonso is the best driver in F1 and his rightful place is with Ferrari, contend both the sport's ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone and tennis champion Rafael Nadal.

It has taken 'leading industry figures' 5 or 6 years to realise what I've been thinking for a long time. Ferrari missed the boat from right back in 03, in that race where Fernando had the guts to lap Michael...at the Hungaroring. The bells started ringing in my head on that day and I thought LucaDM would have moved heaven and earth to break Fernando from his Renault contract and bring him to Big Red! After all, Flavio let Michael go from Bennetton, so history would have been repeating itself. But there you go. They may eventually get it right and pair him with SebV! And if Honda finds no buyer, Ross Brawn might just return for Ferrari Dream Team 2!

If that happens, other teams LOOK OUT!!!!!

Are we to assume then that Kimi is leaving at the end of the season? If not, all this talk about FA can't be any good for current drivers. If Ferrari go for FA they will get a top driver,no doubt but who wants to work with him? If FM matches him for speed suddenly we'll have an unhappy Ferrari team, drivers not speaking all that stuff that seems to come with FA

I'd laugh if he does get another shot in a top team- then gets beaten by a less experienced team-mate again - Vettel perhaps this time..!

Bernie Ecclestone described Alonso in an interview with Spanish newspaper Diario AS as 'one of the world's best drivers who should one day demonstrate his quality with Ferrari,... and if he still cannot win the WDC in a Ferrari we will penalise other drivers until he does."

"he causes nothing but problems in every team he has worked with"

Tell Renault about it...

Anyway, although I think - like Lauda stated - that FA should have dealt better with the situation at Mc Laren, the "he was beaten by a rookie and could not handle it" are over simplistic.

First of all, what happened at Mac Laren does not make Alonso a second grade driver otherwise people thinking as such will have time proving that point ! He still conquered two WDC with a machinery that was slightly inferior to his opponents.

Then, he was equalled by Lewis in terms of speed. That's true but Hamilton is not exactly your regular rookie and he had a particular relationship with the team.

So, when Ferrari ( and Michael) won, everybody were bored to death, and now they want somebody to make Ferrari to win all again. I donn't understand. FA can win with Renault, too. He didn't need Ferrari. And if Ferrari need him, then they want to have that monopol of winning again.Who want that? :?

It's all bull with Alonso going to Ferrari. It's the same media that hypes every young driver into thinking they are the next World Champion. Too much history for Ferrari to sign him. He has been a thorn in their side so I doubt this match up will ever happen.
