Berni and Max have got to be worried their cash cow is starting to run dry. The global depression may be the best thing to happen to the F-1 biz since disk brakes.

Renault needs more money. STR wants same engine for both teams. Toyota needs a win. USF1 needs money. Honda needs sponsors and money. Or all will be gone next year. MM and Bernie are in a tight.

BE is so greedy he cannot grasp that it is HIS demands that are helping to cripple F1. In the short term the teams need more money. There is only so much available & the people shelling out up front SHOULD get more than someone who is really screwing it for the paying public.
The FIA should now be looking at ways to either get him to pay more to the teams, and this should NOT be at the expense of demanding more from the individual race organisers, or replace his company, though no doubt his contract will be as tight as the one Sir Freddy G has / had with RBS :p :p
Maybe Renault SHOULD walk away.

did you see the report on another site, where bernie has forced usf1 to change its name, and also force india to change their logo so it no longer looks like f1. he really is trying to assert hmself as the owner of f1, and the name, but a court recently ruled that he was not entitled to do this. slavica must be bleeding him dry!

Sunny, the USF1 team is apparently using the current F1 situation as an opportunity to enter the league cheap. They will be looking for hand outs at every turn. Like all teams they need sponsors and cash to make the grid. Most on this board seem to think they will never hit the grid. Hence I say they may never make it without help.

Richard you are correct about the court case refusing the rights to the F1 trademark. The owners of F1 commercial rights are CVC which is managed by BE which have recently been offered 5% shares one of the other small share holder is MR. NESCAFE.
