They haven't just jumped out of the box - they've been at it for 15 months with the vast resources of the now defunct (and probably now regretting it) Honda Corporation. The difference this year is the man at the top directing and putting to best use these resources is Ross Brawn - I think the ingredients were always there at Brackley - they just needed the right Master Chef to create the end product and boy have they probably got the best at that on the planet in Mr Brawn. :)

Fantastic result for old man Rubens but poor Bruno Senna, he must be devastated!

Just goes to prove that you never lose your speed. Hope he kicks Button's butt this year.

Sorry Rob I disagree pal...not a full second on both days....this is not running on fumes...hed have to do a lap come in ..a lap...come in...a lap come in...a lap come in all day...and the amount of laps he did he would have had to start at xmas to get all them laps in.

They are fast .full stop.

Finger crossed that this is not just a testing flash in the pan a la Toyota the last couple of pre-seasons.

It would be great to have the 'expected to win teams' scratching their heads come race end!!

They are not running underweight, all the teams have an agreement not to do that.

I'm not saying they are running minimal fuel. They are running a car that is NOT legal weight. Alonso eluded to the practice of teams past in a recent interview. They are in dire need of cash and the best way to do that is to be on top. I know its only testing but they did not jump out the box over Ferrari. Lewis was only 2 tenths off Massa albeit over a second and a half slower than Rubens. The do not have the KERS in the car either...I wish them luck on there efforts

The advantage that Brawn GP appear to have over the other teams cannot be put down to running under weight. To throw in laptimes witch are a second quicker than anyone else you would have to run masive amounts under weight, seing as the cars are made as close to the weight limis as possible due to the dissadvantage that carrying balast causes! We will se the true RACE pace of all the teams im Melbourne, but the fact is Brawn GP has the RAW pace to be competative!

Never heard such childish comments... do you really think you can attract millions from sponsors by commiting fraud..? on the BrawnGP site on every documents they issue there list some sponsors, not on the car yet but dont think they are not there for decoration or as bait(but you could argue they are there to attract more sponsors). But then by your argument if they went slow as Macca and ditched it in the cat litter you'd be telling me they are sandbbing? or just say BrawnGP... slow as Honda why bother?? :p

Do you really think that Brawn jumped out of the box with a new engine and no testing and put over a second on Ferrari? Wishful thinking. They will be happy to just score points this year.
