The effect of the Mercedes statement. BE is now worried. He should learn to think before he opens his mouth.

I didn't know BE was on the WMSC, that makes his statements all the more ludicrous, hearings and appeals are meant to be fair and impartial, not so with this kangaroo court.

The fact that he even has to affirm that the FIA will be fair with McLaren is telling in itself.

Just exclude McLaren from constructors' points in 3 races and put the issue to bed at long last. Everyone is bloody sick of the whole thing by now.

Why is everyone defending Mclaren? they lied, why should they be treated "fairly" and with respect when they have ****** all respect for the stewards and officials.

Does this mean that he thinks they were treated unfairly last time?

edb, of course it was. An unprecedented fine for what happens normally in F1. What do you think goes from team to team when engineers and designers change teams? OK, it may not be documents, but certainly ideas and knowledge. Spying in F1 is rife, but the FIA only seem to look when it suits them. If it had been Ferrari and not McLaren, how much would you think the fine would have been?

i'm no fan of lewis or mclaren. so obviously i am going to be biased. McLaren lied......that is between Merc and McLaren....if McLaren get kicked out (which they won now) then Merc should stick around for this year because i am pretty sure they have a contract with the teams they are supplying the engines to. Merc just needs a way out of F1. This teaches a valuable lesson...if you get caught breaking the law in f1, just threaten to quit over it, and it will be thrown under the rug....lewis and mclaren have been doing damage control....lewis joining the gpda for the support of other drivers....would he have ever done it if mclaren were at the front without any problems?

im pretty sure they were trying to do damage control after the spygate saga..how long did that last. wmsc should do something that will mclaren a valuable lesson...now i am ferrari fan...say what you want....the only time they ever threatened to leave was when fia threw the standardized engined idea.....they never threatened to leave after the austria 2002 affair....not after the schumi monaco 2006 affair....maybe thats the difference between racing for passion and racing for money....
so id say kick mclaren out of the constructor championship this year....so merc leaves? they cant leave till next year...then mclaren can compete next year as a 30 mil team just like everyone else
