They should be a limit to the number of teams using the same engines. If costs can? be limited, then it may persuade other suppliers to re-enter the sport. Get rid of KERS, it is Driver skill/ability I want to watch, with less artificial aids as possible ( KERS is one ) I would like to see any challenges to the interpretations of the 2010 specifications made 2 weeks prior to the first race of the season, after that hard-cheese. Teams will then have to adapt during the season.

I thought that power wise there was nothing to choose between the Ferrari and Mercedes engines, apart from KERS is on the Merc is in a differnt league to everybody else.
Shame about McLieran, letting down the side as usual.

ak, rbr may stay with renault! and these engines are performing better than the ferrari engine at present. why on earth, given that they have a powerful driver (vettel, not webber) would they want to go back to ferrari power?

from what i can read.. it seems horner is talking about the future not present or even this season.

Ferrari engines are a known and competent force in F1 so there is a probability Rbr could just swap engines or engine contracts with torro rosso.

and if renault engines are so good, this topic of an engine switch would never arise.

merc already have buyers in brawn and force india. so it is more likely that if they are looking for a good engine they may go the ferrari way. just my 2 cents

Please reread the first paragraph of this story. Sounds like Horner is more worried about Renaults' commitment than anything else.

Teams should be free to chose what engine they want. Any limit will also limit those who want Cosworth engines as well.

I heard Cosi was going to make a return...
And depending on the price of their engine, it could be a good option, specially if team budgets will be caped...
