We all know that this will NEVER happen. Teams that threaten to leave F1 will be pacified in one way or another. F1 will still be F1 next year, and that will include Ferrari, Toyota, Red Bull, et al.

Everyone on favour of not having Ferrari in F1, a budget cap and all the standardisation nonsense should be watching GP2. But if the FIA are trying to make a GP2.1 and still maintain the mantle of the pinnacle of motorsport then someone's got their sums wrong.

If the FIA want to save a huge amount of wasted money, improve the racing and destroy a bit of the sports history then they should get rid of Monaco off the calender (Yawn.)

Any sport that has allowed one team to be so dominant has lost the plot. Look at the NFL model, the most successful sport in the world.

My how i'll laugh if their threat backfires on them! Hopefully the FIA will have the cajoles to stand their ground, after all we can't have the lunatics in charge of the asylum (though some would say they already are!)

Ferrari pulling out of F1, never going to happen. Ferrari sells cars to customers who buy into the racing heritage. No F1 far less new car sales no Ferrari. Personally i don't care if they are in F1 or not i am sick of them having special privileges just because they have been in F1 since the beginning big deal! The FIA are finally doing something to reduce costs and attract new teams, the manufactures don't like it because its reduces their hold over the FIA. I don't know if the £40m budget is right but the teams need to change their ways.
