Danica Patrick,it figures.Get ready for a politicly correct back marker team from the U.S.She will make an excellent moving chicane!I new this was not serious and will be a gigantic waste of money.PC just killed one of the top F1 teams,brought them to thier knees and there were casulties.Prove to U.S. fans you are serious and ditch the publicity stunting fem talk that will dilute you or your history will be like the last U.S. attempt, Hass Beatrice Lola,remember them?

F1 » US GPE to have two US drivers, car running by November?

US GPE could have its first F1 test car up-and-running by November this year 'if all falls perfectly into place' - and the likelihood is that it will be an American driver behind the wheel.

100% wind tunnel??? i thought that this was against the rules. isnt it something like 50 or 75% ?? if that is so,it would indicate a failure to read the rules properly.

England

That is a pretty dumb comment. And besides, they will be at the back of the grid so you won't see much of them anyway!

Out of the drivers mention I think Hunter-Reay and Graham Rahal has what it takes. But they don't know the tracks which will be he huge disadvantage - especially without any previous data. I haven't seen Alex Rossi but have read good things about him and he's supposedly the real deal.

I don't know why people are bashing USGPE. I know F1 is mostly watched by the European audience, but there are a lot of people that watch F1 in the U.S. including me. Even if the cars are at the back of the grid, it's about representing the U.S. and the potential American drivers have.Plus, Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor aren't amateurs to F1.

@ England. We're not Yanks. We're Americans. This is not the 1800's. Motor sport is just as good in the US as it is in Europe. We've drivers that can match any current F1 driver back home. So go get yourself an education.

@ Powerline 2008...
I'm American (or should I say from the United States? American would be North, central and Sounth too...
Anyway... it hurts to say this but name one driver we have that you think could do well in F1 right now?
Only series I enjoy here in the U.S. is Petit LeMans and Indy car (wish they updated their chassis though). Can't really consider NASCAR anything serious, can you?
I'd love to see a US driver in F1... maybe Jeff Gordon at his time. Rahal?

@powerline 2008
Hasnt Seb Bourdais just come over from kickin ass in america into F1??? He may not be American but he has done pretty well over there and probably beaten quite a few Americans in his time, but hasnt really been any good in F1.
And also if there were any good american drivers out there im pretty sure they would be in an F1 car and not have to wait for an American team to form in order to get a drive. Hey could change tho with most of the teams quitting for 2010 we may well be racing on ovals because most of the teams would be American! Both of them lol.
