I love the RAIN not

May 24, 2009 3:06 PM

This is getting boring now the races was over with in 10 laps. The only thing Jenson done wrong was pack the car in the wrong place. Rubbens wins is coming it just when this season and where. Also did I just here Eddie Jordon swear on the bbc there won't be happy with him now LOL.

i love the rain. winning all the time becomes boring. look at the reaction to prost, schumacher etc when they were dominant. button is now in the same situation. by the way, i will soon be taking bets on when DC will eventually clock jordan. it is painful to watch "know it all" jordan, trying to get one over dc, who knows a hell of a lot more about driving than jordan. did you see the fixed set jaw on dc, during quali? the bbc need to do something quick!

Guys, the difference is that jenson, hasn't had this kind of run, before, so bask in it now for him cause it will stop shortly, I think that Brawn cannot lose the constructors though.
What disappoints me is that Monaco is still on the calender, where else can you get a situation where by the guy in 17th can lap faster or the same as the leaders at 1:16's and then a few laps later be held up to doing 1:21's, its crap, we would be as well only letting 6 cars race as this circuit doesn't allow for overtaking. Good win for button, crap circuit, should be far far better a race

Derek, I agree. Monaco is kept on the calendar for the benefit of the celebs and the big spenders. It isn't a race for F1 fans anymore. Looks great, drivers love it, Bernie loves it, but as a race fan I found it even more boring than it usually is. How can you keep Monaco and drop a track like Silverstone which has had great scraps almost every year.

Thanks, I have been to Monaco on holiday and i couldn't believe how close these cars drive next to the harbour, its rediculously dangerous, we saw in the support race what can happen if a car rides over the back wheels of another, all that stop the cars is armco, a fence, then water. For history Monaco is kept yet Silverstone is sacificed, street circuits are for the yanks, F1 shouldn't have them. FOM is getting away with it cause there ain't been any fatality for years, but the laws of probability say its bound to happen some day. fortunately there was no safety car, whats the point in building up a huge lead to have it ruined with a crash at a location where there is no run off.

If you don't want a boring F1 then hope for a salary cap.

I'm pleased for Brawn/Button - good to see a different brand/driver up front - but now doubt Honda would have spent an equalivant to Solomon's mines on that chassis as was spent on MS and Prost and other dominant cars in F1.

Open spending equals boring races

It seems to me that if a cap on investment is put in place uniformity of cars will surely follow. Once the expenditure is reached, no more development will take place. GP2 anybody? Now this will give closer racing, but is it the pinnacle of the sport?, I think not. I wonder what the current budget of world sports cars are? probably not much different to the £40 million proposed for F1 and potentially a lot more exciting!
