Fluffy:

You don't like Button, I'd have never guessed from that rant if you hadn't mentioned it at the end.

Button fully deserves his accolades and compared to the likes of M Schumacher and Hamilton there isn't a hint of smugness in the man, jealously is a nasty thing !

It's the car stupid. Obvious really as Rubens is lying second. No one can tell me Button and Barrichello are the best and second best drivers on the grid. And why mention Lewis as another kick in the teeth? Why not say Alonso's stock has fallen? Can't stand Button, the smug barsteward.

It's the diffuser isnt it! They should give them to everyone and they'll solve third world debt. Magic.
People can think what they like about Button, but ignoring that he is driving bloody good is just stupid.

@jpm I agree. He's been given a golden chance, he's grabbed it hard and he's squeezing it dry while he can, and what more could be asked of him.

Hi everyone,

Look, much as it's very flattering to be linked with the likes of McLaren and Ferrari, I'm very happy where I am thank you very much. 90% of the battle in F1 is to get yourself into the right seat at the right time, and Brawn GP is where I want to be right now. It's been a long time coming and I know now that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

As one of the other posters said, it's all about the car, and, at the end of the day, why would I want to move when I have the best car? My renumeration is a distant secondary concern. Thanks everyone for all your kind words and support this year - lets make the rest of the season every bit as fantastic as the first!

how sad is this. button has been nowhare for the last few years and nobody wanted to know him. now because he has the only car in the field that is any good people are rating him as one of the best put all the other drivers in a car as good as his then see how good he is.
and the main reason the car is as good as it is, is because they got abay with twisting the rules and the rest of the field practically have to redesign their whole cars to get anything out of them lets see how good he is when the rest of the field are on equal terms this year if not next year

Some people do not like the truth do they? The fact is that the Brawn car is awesome. The other fact is that so is Button. Who was the one who made his super soft tyres last over and above anyone else's at Monaco? Was that due to the car? If it was the why wasn't Barrichello able to do the saem with his car? I was reading Autosport yesterday and the Bridgestone man stated that it was mostly down to the way Button treats his car due to his smooth and economical driving style...but then some do not want to hear that do they?
Brawn are about to offer him an improved contract and i hope he takes it. Go BGP and JB and for that matter go Rubens! :)

Obviously when he would actually get the chance to drive for Ferrari or even McLaren, he should take it right away. Brawn as a team isn't going to be this good for a long period of time, since they lack the funds Honda had to develop the car.

Ferrari is the highest honor you can achieve as a driver, it's a team that will always be there as long as there is F1 and will always be at least reasonably competitive. I dislike McLaren, but to a lesser extend the same goes for them. The paycheck is better, too.

I doubt Ferrari will happen, though. But Kovalainen should have ben replaced a while ago.

Silly season has begun.
The motorsports authority that is the 'Daily Mirror' has stated the obvious.
It isnt JB's fault that Brawn GP is the place to be this season just as it isnt HK's fault that the McLaren isnt very good.
Let the Jenson Button bashing begin.
As fans it appears we like to boost drivers up so we can knock them down, appears that jealousy is a factor for quite a few 'fans'. We should remember what Suzy Perry (Moto GP) said over the Monaco GP weekend said, 'In F1, the car is the star'.

Brawn GP's engine supply contract with Mercedes is a conditional one year contract as McLaren & Force India have a long-term contract with Mercedes. What happens if Brawn GP's engine supplier next year doesn't work as well as Mercedes? And RB is not going to buy his engines from Ferrari or Renault.
