Good-bye Bernie, Good-bye Max. I believe FOTA wil give us something special to watch, and I particularly don't mind if they splash money on better machinery. It would be good to see 900 plus HP cars again. I think FOTA will do something special for the new era of F1, though it may take a few years.I'm sure this site will hear from all the Ferrari haters but please try and remember the teams are all in this together. I believe Bernie is bitch slapping Max around in a motor home at the moment. It was only a matter of time before everything caught up with them. Hmmm...greed and dictatorship, deffinately a losing combo...the Lawman :) :)

I'm with you mate. I don't want 2 series. It will dilute the fanbase and money, and destroy the sport's heritage. The ideal situation would be that Ferrari join Williams and Force India, or the FIA jump ship and destroy any other series.

Personally, I would prefer the first as the manufacturers will leave eventually.

As for your second point. Mosely is wrong to say F1 will survive without Ferrari, and if I was a chief exec new to the board of one of the manufacturers and knew nothing about motorsport, I would say "excuse me, why are we spending £400m a year to promote our product to 50% of the audience when we could spend £40m to promote it to 100%".

JJW, you really are scraping the barrel trying to find reasons to criticise FOTA. So what if their website still carries the same home page design as yesterday? These things take time. Stop nitpicking.

And once again you are WRONG in claiming that Force India and Williams are no longer members of FOTA. They are still members but temporarily suspended from current negotiations with the FIA due to their contractual position with the FIA. Williams and Force India fully accept this and still consider themselves members of FOTA. There are no bad feelings on either side about this. They have not been kicked out, so why do you keep spreading the lie that they have?

Don't compare this with CART and IRL. The fan base is totally different. You are talking about the World vs North America. What happened at CART might not happen at F1 and I strongly believe FOTA will take off successfully. I for one will be switching my allegiance.

Lots of water will pass under lots of bridges before this is resolved, so I won't offer an opinion other than to reinforce/amend what Fred said on the first page. FOTA have nothing of value (except Ferrari), FIA have contracts with all the properly kitted out venues, especially Monaco, the F1 name, circuit licensing rights etc etc. FIA still hold the aces. British beef makes the other good point here - there are no goodys and baddys, only baddys

Why can't Willians and Force India race in what ever category they want to? What business is it of FOTA to dictate what they do or don't?. Once again this proves that FOTA are dictorial and as bad as the FIA.

The whole thing is a mess and taking sides isn't going to help anything
