Good-bye Bernie, Good-bye Max. I believe FOTA wil give us something special to watch, and I particularly don't mind if they splash money on better machinery. It would be good to see 900 plus HP cars again. I think FOTA will do something special for the new era of F1, though it may take a few years.I'm sure this site will hear from all the Ferrari haters but please try and remember the teams are all in this together. I believe Bernie is bitch slapping Max around in a motor home at the moment. It was only a matter of time before everything caught up with them. Hmmm...greed and dictatorship, deffinately a losing combo...the Lawman :) :)

Tv viewing figures for f1 will drop like a lead balloon for what's left of f1.

( and finally Force India have a chance of getting on the podium )

About time FIA's current admin and BE were called to account. IMHO, they have denigrated the series over the last 10-15 years to sanitised racing

When do the lawsuits start? Will be interesting to see what a judge will tell about the Ferrari and Red Bull contracts.

This is only the start of the begining. FOTA is not going anywhere. Without the F1 name they will lose out in the end as did CART against the big name "INDY" series.

F1 has the history and legends - FOTA has nothing.

In response to Rhino's post: regarding TV figures, this must be a thorn in the BBC's side, do they actually want to watch their TV audience fall even further and does that mean all of us Australians will have to put up with James (Hamilton) Allen back on the mic, heaven's forbid, now that would be painful. I mean, FOTA will need to sign a reputable station with experience wouldn't they. Any clues???? the Lawman

Absolutely fantastic, and good on you FOTA. Long overdue to get all this sorted and get rid of Max.

Fred, the thing is Bernie holds the name, and lets face it with the empire crashing around him he will either want to off load it for cash (expensive) or want some kind of licensing deal which is probably more likely. Either way though, he's lost a shedload of cash through how things stand now, and he'll be scuttling around trying to recoup some from the mess Max has made this time.

we all owe mad max a big THANK YOU! we will at last get a proper racing series. to those who said that fota were blffing, do you still believe it? and what will happen to bernie. his cash cow will dry up, and the circuits that he is contracted to now will be able to sue him for every penny. i dont hold out hope for donington, ut gillet must be laughing now, having just gotten a longer contract! but i reckon that bernie will see whee the real money is and will more than likely switch allegiance. wonder what CVC are feeling today, having bought the rights to a dead series? roll on 2010

This is nonsense. What's wrong about cutting costs? 'New F1' will be too expensive and it will die soon due to dull races and too few competitors. I am afraid that Bernie and Max in fact won.

Great to see that the various members of Fota showed some balls and stuck to their guns. I wish them good luck and hope they can give people a race series to be proud of.

Now to await some underhand threats and tactics from Ecclestone and Mosely.
