Yep,

Totally agree.

If he's stepped down F1 wouldn't be in this mess, plain and simple.

F1 » Stewart: 'Dictatorial' Mosley gone too far and has to go

There is no way a break away series can work.
The Fota teams have broken the sporting regulations and the answer is simple.
Throw out all the Fota teams for the remainder of the 2009 championship and take away all their points.
Job done.
Car makers willing to throw huge amounts of the peoples tax bail out money at unworkable pie in the sky series should be dealt with.

With the FOTA breakaway, on a practical level, I assume the race is on again for a new set of rules regarding testing bans, KERS, etc. It will be hard (but not impossible) for the teams to focus on this year's championships 100% till the end and yet deploy their engineers, aerodynamicists and software engineers to begin working on next year's cars with a new set of rules and for a possibly new set of circuits. BIG TASK AHEAD with lots of forward planning, but methinks the manufacturers have the expertise and resources to pull it off. Max will not make it easy.

They need to set up a working group, act fast and with ONE VOICE throughout for the whole thing to hold together and not fall apart!

Gimlette/autogyro/march1951.... what a joke, are you that bored Max or did you get your lickspittle Donnely to spew some of your skewed views on the net ? Everybody is united behind FOTA and are really looking forward to the new breakaway series you have singlehandedly caused.

Auf Weidershein indeeed, zis vill not be tolerated Spanky, time to jump off zee cliff. Byeeeee

Without Max Mosley F1 will be dead and gone in 18 Months as the sponsorship contracts expire.
Ferrari is only acting like a spoilt child because it can no longer win with an unlimited amount of money to throw at it's problems.
FOTA is in dissaray as each member has different responsibilities to the FISA. If the big corporations are not stupid, tell me why they are going bust all over the world because they want to carry on building gas guzzling cars that make no sense anymore? Motor racing is banned in Switzerland and unless Max can turn it around to reflect energy and environmental issues within a sensible budget you can expect to see it banned in many other countries because of world public opinion. Wake up motor mouth petrol head press your time is limited.Ferrari is contracted for the FIA series and will loose out big time if it does not race under FIA rules in 2010. Just because their cars are going backwards and they can only win by throwing money at the problem cuts no ice at al

Mosley's behaviour towards FOTA resonates with the Kubler-Ross model, commonly known as the 5 stages of grief- currently between 2 and 3.
1 Denial - usually only a temporary defence for the individual.
2 Anger - anyone symbolizing life or energy is subject to resentment and jealousy.
3 Bargaining - negotiation for an extended life is made with a higher power in exchange for a reformed lifestyle.
4 Grieving - This process allows the dying person to disconnect themselves from things of love and affection. It is not recommended to attempt to cheer an individual up that is in this stage.
5 Acceptance - Generally, the person in the fifth stage will want to be left alone.

Roll on stage 5.

Skidmark, as the premier motor racing series, there has been a lot of money in F1 for a long time.Being at the cutting edge takes a lot of money.

With this amount of money involved, it will always attract those who only want to use it to make money or gain power.

As for politicians, wouldn't trust them any further than I could throw them, and that's not very far given how much they pack away on our money.

This is yet another case of money spoiling sport.
It has happened in other sports and it is now in F1.
when will we get back to enjoying sport for its entertainment and admiring those who are privilaged to do it instead of constantly reading about old opinionated hasbeens who just want power and lots of money. After reading about politicians expenses aswell,I just wonder where this world is going.
