The BBC should take MM'S word that the teams/FOTA CAN GO AND SET UP ON THIER OWN as the FIA will for sure have a full grid in 2010 and with a lot of teams having bought out famous neames,he also assured everybody that FERRARI are not needed in FI, or that FI can do without FERRARI.

For sake of truth:
0. F1 will lose much more not to say everything, fan support seems to be split 1 to 99 for breakaway series. So will split the money from media.
1. Bernie does not own FOM, the stakes were sold to CVC (if my memory serves me good). Meaning all he has to lose is the job. But I do not think he lives on the paycheck. :p

Multiply this by all the countrys, and you're looking at a loss of about £2bn for F1. Simply put, without FOTA they are done for. No one will pay to watch a bunch of no body race teams, while all the big names are busy racing around in a competiting series.

F1 is dead without the FOTA teams, and its only saving move it can do now is the removal of Max, and the FIA getting back to what they are supposed to do...enforce rules, not make them! And quiet possibly an even move on pay outs from the TV rights to the teams.

Goodbye Max, and good ridence!

BoSox, it's just you. I think crash.net has a good coverage of all this, from both sudes. Remeber, they need to cover both sides to give us the best insight.

A)
I think the BBC can probably win any argument about whether they deserve most of their money back if the FIA let F1 split apart, and following the series with the teams/drivers people know would clearly be the preferable move. No one cares about Max and Bernie, and they're all that would be left remaining of F1!

B)
Isn't that a picture of Matt wotsit from the MotoGP you're using to demonstrate BBC motorsport coverage? I mean, fair enough, for artistic licence and all. Just a tad odd.

Bosox, it doesn't help when the reporter makes errors like referring to Williams and Force India as "FOTA expelees". They have not been expelled, and come 2010 they could well be the senior members of the organisation.
