@ mrdood

moral of the story ...

history, international sanctioning bodies, etc all mean very little.

If the show is good, the fans will follow, the TV will follow, it will succeed.

What makes the show?
The competitors (in this case teams & drivers)
How you present it

Does FOTA have the ability to deliver those 2 things?
YES

Do they need FIA, Max, Bernie, CVC, the F1 name it order to deliver?
NO

F1 » Bernie: Teams need F1 more than F1 needs them

Bernie Ecclestone has warned the FOTA dissenters to think carefully before jumping ship and forming their own 'breakaway' series - arguing they wouldn't last a second without F1's support.

Oh boy. With comments like that Bernie is further alienating the teams. Wake up Bernie you need them more than they need you.

The sad thing is Bernie actually truly believes this.

He didnt make F1, Nor did Max.

Ferrari, Mclaren, Mercedes, Renault, BMW and many before them did that.

FOTA will of course win, then once Bernie and Max are gone, the teams will be back! FORZA FOTA if only for it to make F1 better in the long term. :)

Albert Einstein once said: "Anger resides in the bosoms of fools". And you are certainly a fool Bernie. The teams combined have more money than even your billions. Money makes the world go around, and with their money, anything is achievable, just copy a few good things here and there from formula 1 and tadaa! a newer better series. I will miss the history of f1, but I certainly won't miss the present / more recent history. Go on FOTA, kick some a$$

The rumblings of a delusional old fool. FOTA teams, circuit owners, sponsors & the fans don't need Max/FIA &/or Bernie/FOM.

While Max and Bernie seem to be doing their best to ruin things, it is extremely naive to say that Bernie didn't get F1 on the map properly. He helped make it big and anybody that's watched it for years or knows the history will recognise that.

Now of course Ferrari, Mercedes, Williams, McLaren, Brabham etc have went hand in hand with that but Bernie was the instigator and had the faith and foresight to do so.

And yes, the FIA have been 'questionable' of late, the huge role they've played in safety should also not be ignored.

I find it very unfortunate what short memories some fans have and I just hope that everybody's blind faith in FOTA is still rewarded in a few years time

we'll all go to watch the best teams boys - bernie and max don't have mucjh of a record of improving the sport - driving in the seeting sun in australia, in the afternoon rain in malaysia, taking a bung from ferrari, changing the rules thn letting thos who break them get away with it, constant screwing over of mclaren...frankly boys we'll all be happy to see you go - long past time to draw the pension - even speed tv thinks you're a pair of jokes and we're not even mentioning the extra curricular sexual exploits that would ruin anyone else in the sport!!

That sounds like a challenge to the teams there! and it's only going to leave Bernie and Max stood in the middle of Melbourne next march with 'race for us' signs hanging off the end of their c**ks, bring on the breakaway.
