This could not have ended on a worse note.

This idiotic soap opera, and the results thereof, will have no impact on either the fans or the insistence on sterile McTilke tracks. Any hope of cheaper tickets, or anything else that makes F1 more accesible, is gone.

We, as fans, lost here.

It is the overwhelming support FOTA received from the public, that has helped common sense prevail! All the comments on this and other web sites agreeing with the aims of the teams, have added together to convince the FIA what the true fans really wanted - series that excels! Let us hope it works!!! :)
And people - abuse helps no-one!

Anyone else found this whole sorry saga reminded them of the Not The Nine O'Clock News, Union negotiation sketch, seemed just as implausible.

The three new teams will all be running Cosworth power units. The reason the other applicants were rejected is that Cosworth stipulated that they would only supply to a minimum of three teams and these three teams have deals with Cosworth. At the 11th hour pressure was brought to bear on some of the favoured teams to change to Cosworth power, but that could not be done so late in the day.Another example of MM trying to rig F1 to suit himself. I love his comment about the FOTA loonies. Pot calling kettle black. FLASH3

Hilarious! The abbreviated statement on formula1.com is the first time this ludicrous website has ever acknowledged that there has been a "problem"!

Michel Boer president of the FIA senate and head of Monaco auto club will immediately begin handling relations between the FIA and the teams.
The 2010 published regulations are complateley gone now,and replaced as per FOTA'S wish with this year rules.

"The problem of QVC and its stooge are still unresolved. So far as I can tell, the WMSC meeting has rearranged a few deck chairs on the Titanic. The FIA/QVC/Bernie iceberg is still out there. I'm withholding my glee until I see what FOTA has to say.

Talk about running a series on the cheap, if it's being done by QVC it's no wonder there's no money for the teams...

I think you will find that it's actually CVC...!
