This could not have ended on a worse note.

This idiotic soap opera, and the results thereof, will have no impact on either the fans or the insistence on sterile McTilke tracks. Any hope of cheaper tickets, or anything else that makes F1 more accesible, is gone.

We, as fans, lost here.

Anyone remember how fans complained to get MotoGP back on eurosport? And it worked.

Now we have to come together and start a petition to get Bernie out of F1 aswell. If we can rid f1 of Max and Bernie it will only get better. So lets start a petition and kick Bernie out of F1

Well thats one problem gone. Now we need Bernie to get a reality check. Bring back the old circuits and real spectators with affordable tickets. Ron Dennis to replace Mad Max?

Mmm, i am not taking sides on this but on Saturday night, BBC4 repeated its excellent Jim Clark documentary, along with Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill. On the same weekend we saw some of the most pathetic posturing, name calling, ego-drivn drivel from all sides. Times change of course, but the whole episode has left me with a very sour taste.

Good... now let's move on with this and use the FOTA's race calendar and tracks also...

I'll wait for the FOTA statement before getting carried away but this is great news if true. All those people so giddy at the prospect of a breakaway series hopefully now see what it was all about and not some idealistic way of giving F1 back to the fans.

As for those looking Bernie to go, you've no chance. Even the teams went running to him to sort this out so he must be doing something right.

Will be interesting to see just how much power FOTA think they have gained now as this will be their justification for any deal.

And if this is the end of the row, I want a public apology from both FOTA and the FIA for dragging us through all this BS :p

@ Suckfizzle

LOL, oh how you must pine for a dictator to rule your country.
Max stopped people from doing things.
The safety regs drawn up in 1994 are really his only legacy, and any monkey would realise that somthing had to be done when SENNA died.... It could even be argued he didnt do enough to prevent it!
He banned countless gadgets, created daft rules to make cars slower(and failed) and even took advice from a team against another team, some president.
And how can you allow the said team a VETO on all regs? Pathetic mate

That would be Ferrari complaining of Berrylium in the Mercedes-Benz engines of 1999.
How did they know that? hmmmmmmm

I thought I heard on the radio this morning that Mosley was going to stand for re-election? confused now. If this is true, then it is a shame. I think a breakaway would have been a great thing. I really don't see a whole lot changing now in the way the sport is run, same tracks, same expensive tickets etc. I realize the leaked schedule for FOTA was probably false, but I was looking forward to Indy/Montreal as I could have gotten to both tracks.

I hope that Mosley standing down is an agreement that is set in stone and not just Max's word as he's said he'd step down before only then to change his mind.

As long as FOM and Bernie continue to bleed F1 dry this only have solves the problem and is NO better for F1 fans who want to spectacle at these events.

They may rue this day.

Let me guess...Jean Toad for FIA president.
