When Max was caught with his pants down with 5 hookers, he didn't apologize to the teams & fans for bringing the sport into disgrace. He didn't apologize to his wife or family, for certain. Instead he sued the media to save face.

Now having to step down from his autocratic rule in the FIA to save the sport, he's demanding an apology from the FOTA to save face, once again. This guy is all about his ego, not the public, the sport or even his country. Max is a disgrace & he should learn to go quietly.

F1 » Teams: We'll believe Mosley's going when we see it

Leading figures react with scepticism to FIA President Max Mosley's vow to step down in October - as one claims F1 will always be 'intrinsically controversial, unstable [and] political'.

How will they all react when Mosley proposes Alan Donnelly as his successor? Puppet and string comes to mind...
I would hope that the FIA take note of his recommendation(s) and totally ignore them.

You two should not comment on something you believe to be rubish. It makes your comments the same. He has claimed to be stepping down in the past and did not follow through on the promise. How can anyone believe what comes out of Max's mouth.

Max has clearly lost it and is trying to make his humiliating defeat as painfull as he can for all concerned. Now we have him also threatening to put one of his puppets in, Todt, dumped from Ferrari for being "Moseley's man" or the Dreaded Duncan... just so the pervert can keep on his power trip.

Nice to see so many journalists finally free to say what they have thought about him for decades, but had to keep quiet as all criticism of Max or his FIA led to your career in the sport being over by withdrawing pass he first tried to sue, then tried to stop the BBC from hiring Martin Brundle after he famously dared to call the ridiculous FIA sanctions against McLaren a "Witchunt"

I think Crash.net is a great site - I very much look forward to viewing it.

I agree with Rob01 - and those who don't like it have an option not to come here - Crash supporters do not want to read your negetivity.

Keeep up the good work crash.net staff and thank you very much.

there may be a little grain of truth in the story. it is reported elsewhere, that mosley is being given the title "honorary president". i am sure that he would try to get his own back on the teams, if it is at all possible. lets hope that fota have ensured that he can have absolutely NO input into anything f1. by the way, i see that fia are trying to bring in a spec engine into wrc!!!

Does anybody know the conditions of employment of the FIA president. Is it a term contract or just a job until the person decides to retire or is sacked?

I would like to think that the FIA would have an election for president every three years.

I really hope that at the end of September when October get here that Good Old Max will announce that he has been persuaded to stay... and that the Senate has decided that he should again rule F1.

It would be appropriate for the FOTA to suffer from their own stupidity in believing anything that came from Mosley's mouth. And at that time it would be too late for them to do a breakaway. The whole thing seems to much like a divorced couple deciding to give it one more chance right before the judge stamps the divorce final.... FOTA deserve any problems they might have from here on out.

I've followed F1 since the late 80's when J-M Balestre was FIA president and i seem to remember a lot of ill feeling towards him but i was too young to understand the politics of what went on at the time.In my humble opinion,F1 during the Mosley reign has got worse with every year in every way. What we have now is a procession of ugly cars that cost squillions of pounds to build but can't even overtake.I get the feeling Mr Mosley has realised this which is why he tried to impose unrealistic financial caps to bring F1 bugets back to "early 90's"levels.Go now Max,before your next brainwave destroys F1.
