Max, please, give up. Get out with what little dignity you have remaining ( if any ). Youve had your time and made your money. Go. Now and quietly, and leave the sport to recover some of its own dignity.

Mosley is ONLY to enforce the rules not MAKE them. Safety was to be FIA's concern. Max has been pushed whether he thinks so or not. And all the things being said about max, are things that have been said for a long time. And this whole FOTA thing is about PROPER governance. They have compromised with the two idiots for so long that Max is confused as what his role actually is by description. He is looking more pitiful by the moment. I hope he one day prints all the special deals he has made over the years to show some on this site that he is the snake Luca says he is. And they say Nascar is rigged. The two idiots having been rigging F1 for years. I hoped the diffuser was his last rigging.

This pig makes me sick. I can't believe that FOTA were so easily manipulated into a "reconciliation" when they are fully cognizent if his perverse nature. He is nothing but a machinating, conniving devious deviant. The O-N-L-Y services he has ever performed for F1 is the obfuscation and derailment of the investigation of Senna's death and illegally maneuvering to allow Benetton's 94 championship to stand even though they were caught red handed with an illegal fuel rig and drivers aids. In other words, he ushered in the era of corporate monopolization in F1 and the creation of the Schumacher myth. All he knows is money and power and all else will be sacrificed at their altar's.

"knemesys" your comments are "dead on". In addition, not only should the media expose MM and BE for their selfish and underhanded actions that are detrmental to the sport we love...they should also expose the network of supporters that are under MM's thumb and that keep him in power. People like MM spend untold money and energy seeking out ways to blackmail, leverage, or in some way control people of power and or influence. Even if he steps down, his twisted ego will not let him truely go away...he will find a way to continue imposing his destructive nature on our sport.

I wonder if chairman di Montezemolo has any pull with Tony Soprano?

Mosley has been rendered functionally irrelevant. He should exit gracefully. It would be a nice change.

mosley is quite careful in his statement.yes, he agreed that he wouldnt stand for re-election, yes he remains as president until october (when he becomes honorary president!), but his statement does NOT refute the fact that he is out of the circle in respect of F1 matters, where the vice (sorry max) presiident is to be the go-between and spokesman for fia, between now and october. it would be lovely to read the minutes of the meeting, perhaps fota could release these to the general public, to show mosely for the hypocrite that he is!

With the huge amount of fan support for a FOTA series the FOTA teams had to make it look like they had won so that the fans would not turn on them for caving in. The fans wanted Max and Bernie gone. I still don't understand why they entered unless they were never serious about starting a new series.

It is a shame because there was hope and now it just looks like more of the same.

I understand Mad Max is writing to FIA to get himself some support against FOTA. He certainly had this planned befor he stepped down.Obviously he really does think FOTA are loonies and he can do exactly what he wants.
FOTA please make a stand else he will reintroduce his budget cap and all his other stupid rules.

Another thing that puzzles me is, why MM is being credited with improving safety in F1.
As far as i know the man to be praised with the introduction of progressive safety improvements within motor sport to tracks, cars and medical fascilities is Professor Sid Watkins.
All MM ( sorry the FIA )did was approve or reject his proposals.
Rejection couldn't happen in most cases for legal Health & Safety reasons.
So not Max Mosley - Sid Watkins - maybe soon to be Knighted for his contribution to F1.

After reading his latest rant on Autosport, this guy is really starting to sound a complete ****. He could have left with a sembelance of dignity but now all of a sudden he's talking about how FOTA might want to break away again. What is his problem.
