To be honest, when / if it happens, I can't wait for the British Grand Prix to be a Donnington. If it turns out like the pics, then great !

Silverstone is old and outdated with shabby grandstands and dull pits! Nothing more than a ' flat ' dull high speed track.

Yes, it won't happen overnight, but Silverstone's had it's chance ! !

Great news. Now you've got less than a year to do pretty much the whole thing, so get on with it!

I'll still believe it when I see it.....

I can't think I am the only one who thinks Mr. Gillett has more than a whiff of a double glazing sale about him.

"Can you put Becketts complex in Donington track?"

It already has the Craner Curves which is far more spectacular!

Planning permission  All they need now is the £80million, good luck finding that double glazing man.

amv8 - you seem to be forgetting that silverstone is having about £7 million spent on it this winter so it can host motogp next year - all of the grandstands from luffield to copse will be demolished and rebuilt ...

Cosher - So they'll have the same time scale as Donington then ! ! :?

I did say if / when !

The track is still more of a challenge, than just flat out !

About time they got over this final obstacle. This is another nail in Silverstone's coffin. I think it's safe to say that Dinington will give a better race than Silverstone basically 'cos it has more overtaking opportunities.
