If you say so. No point having good KERS is your cars are crap. I really wish he would stop with the soundbites. I seriously think he has the same script writer that Tony Blair had and he was forever spouting rubbish soundbites.

The Ferrari system is pretty good too.

I do think that's a fair comment, theirs is the one that hasn't had any technucal faulures *as I touch the nearest table* and also the one that makes the biggest difference, you can really see it when it's in use.
However, a good KERS can't make a crap car good so maybe they should have spent more time and resources on the aero than the KERS. Hindsight is a fabulous thing! Especially seeing as KERS was set to be compulsary from 2010. Ah well can't be helped now.

The only team now running KERS is Ferrari and they are miles ahead of McLaren so either the KERS is fantastic and the car is rubbish or Hamilton is speaking optimistically again.

It isn't just the weight of KERS which is a problem, it is also the volume. Those batteries have to be placed somewhere and the bodywork needs to be shaped around them. I think the Mclaren has them in the side pods. Not sure where Ferrari hid them. If they take out the KERS then they get some weight distribution benefit, less torque instability, but still don't get the full aero benefit. The teams which never attempted to run KERS this year have got inherently better aero, and aero seems to be hugely important this year because of the smaller back wing.

Typical Lewis Hamilton mis-information,the whole ship has taken on water and headed for Davey Jones locker and all he can say is,Our Kers is the best! The Hamiltons are apparently not privied as to what is really happening at McLaren-Merc. but how long can they go as a back marker team $$.I dont see McLaren-Merc. coming back as a power team ever again as everyone has caught up technically and there are no notable designers currently on the team that are any good.
