As much as I like Rossi, I think this would be a bad move on both sides. He would take too long to get close to the regular drivers. If a 3rd car is the way to go Ferrari should go for a young driver like Bortolloti. He tested the 2008 Ferrari and broke the lap record! Plus he's Italian

crash.net - there is a mistake in the report. Casey Stoner is not the defending title holder. Rossi won the title last year.

andrew, youve been at the scotch again. it calls stoner the 2007 champion, which he was! or maybe its me who has been imbibing too much and am misreading the report myself!

richard - crash have changed the report now. They originally had is stating that Stoner was the defending champion. I would advise that you are still sober and have read the report corretly. Perhaps crash.net have been at the mother's ruin this morning.

andrewm, yeah it would be nice if crash could just post a comment acknowledging the correction (how about it crash?) and correct the story rather than just correcting it and leaving folks looking like lemons.

i am a massive motogp fan and also a big fan of f1. i would love nothing more than to see rossi have a dig at competitive f1.
it seems many here feel that he would take a long time to develop into a winner if ever.
i have watched too many acts of brilliance to ever right the guy off. not saying that he would set the world on fire but i am saying that you would have to be a bitter fool not to enjoy watching him try! bring on 2011

andrew, sorry, i did not know that the report had been wrong intially! by the way, there is absolutely no need to apologise for having a minute problem. after all, SOMEONE has to live in aberdeen! we all have our inabilities.
