F1 » Campos began building car months before entry accepted

Mosely has made private visits to the like of Carlin F3 in the recent past to see how they run and how to get/attract other lower grade teams in to F1.
Max's plans will have been formulated long ago with little thought for existing F1 teams.

Dallara chassis must, by definition, be made by Dallara & therefore a customer car if it is going to be run by the Campos team.

That is not allowed in F1 thanks to Sir Frank.

If Dalara are supplying their chassis only to Campos then I don't really see a problem. But if Dallara want to sell the chassis to Manor as well then it would be a major change from what F1 represents. How do you feel about Toro Rosso? Do you regard them as a constructor or a customer car?

I THINK the way the chassis rules work are:

1. If Dallara provide the Campos chassis, that's within the rules as they are effectively a supplier, just the same as cosworth, Bridgestone etc. This applies even if they design the chassis, as they are merely supplying 'design consultancy'.

2. Providing two teams' chassis is a bit difficult, but still within the rules provided any commonality between the resulting chassis is oly in areas where there is no 'innovation', ie if Dallara put a 'tweak' on a Campos, they couldn't put the exact same tweak on a 'Manor'. VERY grey area though.

Sir Frank's rule was EXISTING F1 teams supplying their chassis to other teams, not suppliers

Anyone else see the deliberate mistake in that - Campos an 'ace'? I think not!
