They can celebrate getting turfed out of FOTA and siding with Mosley.

Taz - that's a bit harsh. They had to commit to F1 for the sponsors and to give their employees job security. RBS are pulling out shortly so they need to attract a new title sponsor. No title sponsor means no cash.

Taz, andrewm - You guys probably think I'm a Williams-hater but that is not the case. I admire William's F1 cars, as well as his F1 accomplishments, and look forward to seeing the cars on television coverage out here in the colonies.

Do either of you know why Sam Bird is driving Damon Hill's 1996 title winner instead of Hill?

Hill was sacked by Williams. Can't remember why. A Wikipedia search might help.

Taz that comment was a little stupid. If you are a fan of F1 you would understand why they had to agree. Williams is a private team and can not go out on there own.
For a small private team we should all celebrate that they have been in F1 for 40 years when so many other teams have started and finished in that time. Also Williams has won so much in that time, they are a british team, british staff, british owner, we should be proud. I hope one day they will return to the top step.

Andrewm- Hill wasn't sacked, Frank just didn't renew his contract, mainly because of a series of stupid mistakes in '95 which basically handed the championship to Schumacher. Maybe there is still some bad blood there?

He signed because he was TOLD to. He took money from Bernie and had NO choice. That's what you get when you compromise yourself. No choices.
