Vatanen is the best option I think, he is not linked to any F1 team unlike Todt, has worked as a politician and is an ex driver so could possibly relate to the drivers and teams more than Mosely can (even though Mosely drove in F2 in the 60's).

Mosely has to go, he is turning into a bit of a Belestre, he's had a good 18 or 19 years it's time to step down

Vatanen has many ties and allegiances to the big car manufacturers and is completely unsuitable to be President of the FIA.
He is only taking this position because his mate who runs Prodrive told him to and Fota has put pressure on him.
Just part of the car makers/oil company take over attempt.

I believe that Ari would be a very good succesor to Max he is non political (in terms of UK Politics)

For various reasons I have in a former life had meetings with both. Ari would be a worthy President

I think he is the best suggestion for the job so far, l'd like to know who is asking Max to stand for re-election.

Gets my vote.

You are never going to get anyone with no links to the sport. If they don't know much about motorsport they wont make a good president. However Vatanen has little links to F1, but seems well qualified overall having been in motorsport all his life and other useful roles.

Hell vatanen is still an active driver to some extent!

I saw him at the McRae Stages last year, so he can probably relate to the drivers more than Mosely can.

Ari is undoubtedly the best man for the job, i'll be very disappointed if he doesn't win because no-one else could be better. The man is a genius.

Vatanen would be a good choice for president. He is knowledgeable of the sport, he's fairly neutral and he will have the fans support. Unfortunately to become president he would need to have support from within the FIA. All the really influential people in the FIA are in Mosley's pocket, which is why Ari would never win. The next President will be one of Mosley's henchmen, probably someone like Todt. As I've said before, the FIA is rotten to the core.

It is Fota that is rotten to the core.
They are spending the publics money from company bail outs to get unfair advantage while avoiding modern technology.
Not one sportsman among them. just take a look at Ron Dennis and that little Italian geezer.
