Youtube is owned by Google. Google have lots of money!

Google bought YouTube for about $1.6 billion, and this year lost about $270 million although that is just used to offset the profits Google makes elsewhere and reduce its tax bill. Sponsoring a GP team probably isn't a big deal to them.

I wonder that "21st century" sponsorship will be. Maybe they'll fit LCD panels to the wings so they can play animated adverts.

What happened about them boasting they have a full scale wind tunnel for testing when everyone else had agreed to use only smaller scale as a cost saving measure?

There is a lot more open space in the US than in Europe. I wonder if they'll have their own test track, which would certainly let them get more development for their money, and if so, will they also respect the agreements on testing restrictions?

I can't beieve anyone takes these releases seriously. Windsor thinks he is
going to build a competetive car in Charlotte, because they are starting from scatch
and believe in american "technology". What an idiot. Claims of having a full size Enid tunnel make no difference. The vast majority of aero devlopment is done through Cfd software. Physical models are only really used as secondary development tool.

Windsor claiming they can do the same much cheaper is ridiculous also. The fixed costs of travel for equipment, personell. Fixed tire budget, even if they choose to do the minimum of testing are the same for everyone. The only way they will lower their expenditure significantly will be by

Substantially less on chassis devlopment, which in their first year isn't ideal really. Other than that they could start lifeing parts longer, using lower grade materials, paying their employees uncompetitive wages and likely paying their drivers very little although I suspect they will be looking for at least one pay driver. I expect the YouTube deal will be some sort of paybyclick advertising revenue scheme ie directing usf1 associated content through YouTube and selling advertising through the site. Already v common on the site. If they can get it done all power to them, just wish windsors smarmy broad generalization comments would stop.B good to have us team again just not 6secs off.
