I had high hopes for Bourdais this season but he's been poor. I hate to say it cos he's a nice guy and a good driver, but F1 is proving too much for him, and it's time for him to go. But Alguersuari? Do STR really think such an inexperienced line-up is going to move them up the grid? Pantano should be given another chance, his GP2 title proves that. Anthony Davidson's free, but I wouldn't want to inflict the Toro Rosso on him.

I am a big fan of Bourdais and obviously I would say this but I see no reason to replace him just now. I think the lack of consistency in the team will have a negative impact on the team. To replace him with someone who has very little experience of F1 is pointless...despite Alguesuari being a very good driver. I would give him another 5 races.

no matter who you put in the STR at this point, the car will be a slug. Im curious to see how Bourdais would do in a good car. I dont think you can win 4 champ car titles and F3000 by being a ****ty driver. last year at monza he was on pace with Vettel, if he got off the line without stalling he would have had a good finish. In Spa he ran in 3rd spot right before the rain came. If he gets the boot at STR maybe USF1 will retain him next season... he's not "american" but he did win enough in america so people know who he is

Maybe Torro Russo should give Jacques Villeneuve a contract for a few races to get an experienced drivers opinion. It has been quite a while since he drove an F-1 car but with both Sebs mired in the rear does seem to cast doubt on the car. Plus he would raise the profile of the team.

plus then Jacques Villeneuve will be fully up to date for competing in the 2010 season with one of the new teams, probably USF1 or whatever Torro Rosso becomes since Torro Rosso legally can't exist in F1 next year coz customer cars are outlawed in 2010. i wonder who wil buy Torro Rosso...

I hope STR is smart enough to keep Sebastian.

I really think STR has done a poor job of working with Sebastian. They should have signed him early and respected showed they were wanting him to succeed.

I have never heard, "sure he is struggling but we are confident in his ability and we will not be letting him go" All this crap is unnecessary and is deterimental to team and driver focus. It took Mark Weber 8 years to get a win!

Bourdais can fly. He gives the Puegeot wings.

And, frankly though I love Jacques Villeneuve....you have got to be kidding. Didn't he just do the F1 comeback thing.
