"Webber justifies RBR faith and proves cynics wrong"

You don't prove cynics wrong by winning just one GP.

F1 » Webber justifies RBR faith – and proves cynics wrong

Mark Webber is an F1 winner at last following his superb German GP success at the Nurburgring - and afterwards he admitted he owes a debt of gratitude to all those who have stood by him.

i readily confess to being one of those cynics (and still am!) but today webber drove a good race apart from his brainfade at the first corner. that was a deliberate swerve and possibly deserved a stop and go, rather than a drive through. he COULD have taken half the field out with that move. seb has made webber raise his game, but he is still not championship material.

Should we have a running bet as to how many days (hours?) it will be before Paul Stoddart is interviewed in which he mentions how instrumental he (Stoddart) was in bringing Webber to F1, how he immediately spotted his talent, he had no doubt, webber can be champ, bla bla bla?

It might be a boring race but sure I am happy that Webber still have the energy to win his first ever F1 win. Congratulation Webber!

There is no way on earth that King Michael Schumacher would have got a drive through penalty for that move in the first corner if he was still driving for Ferrari. :? :? :?

Stitcho - you have obviously never seen any of the races where Schumacher got a penalty. Usually got clobbered for tiny things which weren't his fault. True that.
