Whar harsh, unnecessary comments. How does he even know the test drivers are 'useless', they've never driven in f1 before.
And Bourdais is no where near as rubbish as Lauda makes out.

Anyway, to Schumi, I would like to see him come back, however what would happen if he did and had lost 'it', his reputation as the greatest ever f1 driver would be in tatters. Maybe he should just stay the 7 time wdc everybody remembers? Just glad I don't have to make the decision and hope the seat is always there if Massa wants it X. :( (fingers x'ed).

Only if Schumi wants to. There are reports that the working relationship as consultant in the Ferrari camp is not working out. Also he's happy being semi-retired.

First off, Bourdais is one of the worst excuse ridden F1 drivers I have ever seen.

It would be good to see Schumacher back in an F1 car but only if Ferrari can give him a car worthy of a multiple world champion. I doubt they can at the moment but having said that, he was a huge motivational factor so who knows. I reckon it will be either one of the test drivers or (sadly) Alonso.

I don't think Scumacher cares about his "unbeatable" image too much. If he want then he can do some races just for the fun of it. I bet that he would be at least decent .

I guess, the only one who's compleately useless is lauda himself. He's also a father of a compleately useless driver in Mathias Lauda. So he better stuck his toung in his ....

Ferrari should go for Alonso.

They should probably just bring Salo in again, like they did in '99 to replace Schummi when he broke his leg in Silverstone.

Harsh words they may be, but it is also basically the truth, until Alonso was handily freed up by the FIA, anyway (although, he has a contract with Renault and I don't know if he will be allowed to race for Ferrari this easily and if he wants to take the risk...Kimi might easily just beat him and then what? We know FA is a bit of a chicken when it comes to competing on equal terms).

But Marc Gene and particularly Badoer definitely don't have what it takes to compete in F1 anymore, if they ever had it in the first place. Bourdais doesn't deserve the drive either on the basis of his performance with STR, nor his whinging personality.

Well, Alonso won't be racing in Valencia it looks like, so throw him in for now.
