More proof that too many manufactures and few privateer teams in F1 is a bad thing.

Bad performance is bad publicity and damaging to their business. That alone is probably enough for the team to pull out, but combined with the current economic client it was a near certainty.

How long before Renault goes the same way?

And I remember people people claiming BMW was one of the main big teams of F1 during the whole FIA/FOTA row, despite them only being on the grid for a few years, and their lack of commitment to F1.

Privateer teams like Williams will stay until the bitter end, F1 IS their business. The manufactures will leave in a few years if they don't see success.

Oh well, does that mean one of the 'new' teams that did'nt previuosly receive an entry will be allowed in? Thiessen's comment before Hungary that they would not stop developing the 2009 car will prove interesting... why continue at all?

Bmw might as well quit now, as there performance has been terrible this year, i'm sure there will be plenty of teams showing interest in Kubica, maybe he could drive the Ferrari whilst Massa is out ! :-o

Maybe we will have a new team Theissen Gp with Mercedes power ?

Honda was pushing the rest of the field forward, BMW is doing the same this year. Coincidence? Don't think so.
Something with 'tail' and 'between legs' comes up...

If you keep altering the regs until it cost to much to stay in the sport you must expect team owners to get fed up and go elsewhere
