Ha Ha, every F1 failure seems to think they can just turn up and be competitive... Bourdais, Michael Andretti, Zanardi all had great CV's but didn't perform against there team mates!

I think Piquet Junior needs to do a Glock.

Whether his points are valid or not his reputation is unfortunately now tarnished, he needs to take a step back to take a couple forward - even if it is back into GP2 - & prove again his pedigree, then if he shines again he may get picked up by an F1 team in a couple of seasons - but of course if Piquet Senior snaps up the BMW Sauber Team he may be straight back next year ..... I wonder who they'll stick in the other car ???

@Dampmongoose - if they did not think that they could be competitive then they shouldn't be there. What is wrong with drivers having confidence in their ability?

Katie right this a case of.
Daddy tell them what a good little driver I am.

A good driver will always shine in a bad car and bad situation.

This guy has had everything.

Sometimes in life you have to WORK for it!

Junior go home, grow up and find a way back without your dad then you'll get a drive and maybe some respect.

Can't say I'm that surprised, this has been coming for a while. Although he hasn't been very good I can fully believe what he says about Alonso getting a better car. I pitty the guy who replaces him.

this is a mask by piquet because he now truly knows that he isn't good enough. briatore put kovalainen in the exact same situation and kovalainen responded by notching up 8 or so points finshes in a row from canada to china 2007. it's not as if renault were asking piquet to match alonso, just achieve 40% of what he does and the renault was fast enough to achieve that.
either way, who gets to join renault. remember, renault have an extended break after being banned from the european gp. grosjean will be the favourite, but having seen hulkenberg in gp2 lately, i'd say he is a better prospect.

Berni..."a good driver will always shine in a bad car"????,, so why are people talking about Kubica and Alonso going to ferrari or Brawn. They are in bad cars and their results aren't much better than Piquet, especially Kubica!!!!!
Piquet says that he wasn't given the same car as Alonso,so i believe him, even though im not a fan
