The only reason KERS worked for Hamilton, is because most of the cars around him did.nt have it.
Kers was introduced as an energy saving (recycling) programme, not as a power button, which it has now become, if every body uses it lap after lap, it just negates itself.
The system in A1GP, where a driver can only use it so many times in a race, makes much more sence, an also requires a bit of discipline.
I would also question whether KERS developement was a saving over engine developement ???

I would love to see frozen aerodynamics instead of frozen engines. Although I enjoy aerodynamic developments and all the tiny wings and stuff, I would happily give that up in favor of highlyn strung engines pushed to the limit, with the added bonus of the occasional blow up now and then.

I also think it would be much more interesting for the engine manufacturers (except Mercedes maybe if there engines would blow up again every race), and I think we would see BMW at the front, since they can build the best engines. The engine development I think is also more relevant for street cars than adding an extra winglet.

JJ- 'I think we would see BMW at the front, since they can build the best engines'
Have you seen how many engines of theirs have blown up so far this season? I think Kubica has only one completly fresh engine left for the remainder of the season!
