Another component is play the role in F1: luck!

Two years ago, Hamilton lack of luck in Brazil. It makes him runner up. One year ago, Massa superb performance comes but reliability problem and mistake by Ferrari cost him the championship. The world championship is already in Massa hands, but slip out in Brazil when Hamilton could pass 'slowing down' fifth place. That is Hamilton luck, Massa misfortune.

Now, Barrichello.. If he could win with 'demage' gearbox and by the end win the world championship title, then it is obviously Button misfortune and Barrichello 'luck'! Decision Rubens, would you take the penalty for new gearbox or gambling with uncertainty of the 'demage' gearbox?

This is going to be a tough decision for someone! Go down 10th but get rid of the risk of a gearbox failure OR stay in 5th, go for the win but risk the gearbox going. It'probably have to be replaced next race anyway so should he just change it now?
I think he should risk it, he's in a very strong position to take the win from where he is, but a much lesser chance from 10th.

Besides, from what Rubens said last night, he's practically 100% sure that the gearbox will not be changed! :D

Well, here we go again. Poor Rubens, he just can't win (Need for Speed: Shift. Think Fast. Drive Faster. Out September 18th Order now) can he? (apart from Valencia).
Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Stupid rules. Same sh1t now happening in MotoGP too...
His best chance of a win (Need for Speed: Shift. Think Fast. Drive Faster. Out September 18th Order now) is to take a chance on the current gearbox. He can't afford to faff around several places back. Good luck, may the best man win (Need for Speed: Shift. Think Fast. Drive Faster. Out September 18th Order now).

Rubens qualifies one place in front of Button and behold, another gearbox has to be changed that was deemed to be ok after a thorough examination following last race...
