For those of you who think NPJr is so bad that he doesn't deserve to be in F1, you should compare his 28 races to Felipe Massa's first 28. They both DNF's 11 times. NPJr crashed 8 times (once on purpose it seems) and Massa crashed 7 times. Using the current scoring method, NPJr scored 19 pts. and Massa 20. Almost identical records. I don't condone what he did, but I can understand it.

Face it, 24 year olds don't always do the smartest things.

F1 » EXCLUSIVE Piquet 'still a huge talent', says Blundell

Nelsinho Piquet's F1 career stands on the precipice of oblivion ahead of the WMSC inquiry into 'Singapore-gate' - but if what he says is true, argues Mark Blundell, he deserves another chance.

Meh, to the report. As an observation NP snr would have kicked Briatorie in the balls if he'd have tried any of that sh!t on him...
A pity Jnr didnt, as Flav is one of a couple of people that run F1 who need a kick in the nuts.

You an guess te others.... :p

Total agreement -Nelsinho Jr was never given a real opportunity to show what he could do - if he had, he'd have shown himself to be better than those charlatans Hamilton, Alonso, Raikonnen, Massa and Kubica.

@cef911f1
That is a weak comparison. In 2002 Massa scored 4 points while his team mate scored 7. That's a pretty good effort for a rookie in an uncompetitive car. Little Nelson managed 19 points in a race winning car (Japan, not Singapore!) against his team mate's 61 points.

In Massa's second season he scored 12 points to Fisichella's 22. Little Nelson scored a massive zero points in the same time that Alonso managed 13.

Granted, they were under different points systems but the ratios are all important.

If Little Nelson is the talent he thinks he is, he should do what Pantano did: get back down to GP2 and have a crack at the title.

It is a fact that Alonso complains/ed openly about his own car and accomplished nothing relatively for a 2xWDC. In light of how Flav and Symmons manipulated the situation, I am not surprised Piquet was not scoring points and it was not for lack of driving skills. What would you expect from an INFERIOR VERSION OF AN UNCOMPETITIVE CAR?? Piquet Jr raced at the top of his class in the development series, he is young, has a future in F1. I don't think he acts as a spoiled brat. He gave LH a run for his money prior to F1 and I think he would do just that, if he could get a better and faster ride than Renault.

Rather than lie, Pat Symonds declined to answer many investigators questions, even though by doing so he knew he incriminated himself. Yet Symonds did make it clear that it was Piquet who first suggested the crash!

You all seem to forget no one would hire him for GP2 so dad started Piquet Sport for his son. He also did more seasons in GP2 than LH. I personaly believe there is better talent out there and not Bruno Senna if he was so good a team would have already hired him.

It is as easy to laugh at Piquet as it is to laugh at Bluntard's neanderthal like lack of eloquence. Piquet was given a $hit car, Blundell, $hit for brains.

Neither had a fair chance really, but at least NPjr did manage to overtake notsogreatAlonso several times.

It's funny to think just before this came out and when there was a spot at Ferrai, Piquet's name was been flouted around for the drive, with Martin Brundle saying exaclty what marks said in this story, just a shame mark decided to say these comments a month or so too late and prove to us all that he just either states the obvious or talks rubbish.
The only way of Piquet Jnr gettingwatching the GP2 yesterday the commentators brought up the old rumor that Piquet Snr will buy BMW or involved somehow.
