Quite rightly Kimi should not budge over his contract with Ferrari - if they are so keen to get Fernando in the car they should be paying him every penny he is contractually obliged to receive.

Quite right, if Santander want to make Alonso F1's most expensive ever pay driver, let them have to publicly pay full price to buy off Kimis contract.

Watching Alonso struggle against a returning Massa who will have more sympathy and loyalty from the start amongst the engineers and mechanics should be fun. Anybody who really believes all the Asturians toys will stay in the Red Pram all season long must be smoking some of what Santander are on.

Kimi is fast no doubt about it. Not surprised at all McL want him (if its true)cause they never wanted to loose him in the first place. The original McL dream team was Kimi & FA. How will LH feel about this? The rumor was that LH only got his drive after Kimi left. McL took there time to appoint LH and only confirmed him to stop Renault taking him as replacement for FA.....

Mercedes made the Silver Arrows cars, not Mclaren. Mercedes can't really walk away from itself, can it? Good job, Crash, if we can't expect you to get even historical facts right, how can we believe speculative crap like this?

I really really really hope this is true!
I'm a huge Mclaren fan and also a huge Iceman fan so I'm usually happy when Kimi does well, but gutted for Mclaren as well. If Ferrari doesn't appreciate Raikkonens talent then they don't deserve him!
Hopefully all that went on before with Kimi and Mclaren will be forgotten, especially with MW taking Ron Dennis' place things will be different for Kimi. :) Mclaren had better build a good car next year so Kimi can fly in it :D

I actually feel sorry for Massa next season,as he'll be sharing a pit garage with the current King of Dirty Tricks - Alonso.( Now that Schumacher is no longer in F1 that is).
Although maybe without Briatore with him ,opportunities to cheat wont pop into his head quite so often.

Im going to write to Raikkonen and ask him how on earth he can get yet another top job when he has no passion and is so lacklustre and so inconsistant. In my job,i would be sacked not jump from one top job to another,,,its unbelievable.
Oh hang on,he has done an incredible 3 podiums on the trot, which has never ever happened before in the history of F1,,what a genius he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good move for Kimi and McLaren to have two World Champions at the same time.

Like Bradenws said, Mercedes-Benz manufactured the Silver Arrows dating back to the late '30s and the F1 cars got the name.

Don't believe a word of it. If Ferrari lose Kimi for Alonso they will be making a massive PR error, and Luca is not a man to make massive PR errors.
Alonso has been close to, at least, one too many scandals in Formula 1.
Kimi is without a doubt the fastest man in F1 and his performance recently shows that, given the equipment, he is among the very best.

In the unlikely event that this story is true, Anthony Hamilton must be apoplectic that Mclaren are considering Raikkonen. :)
