How can Flav continue to deny it, Pat's admitted to it, as well as Piquet and now another Renault team member knew, how many more were in on it?

why on earth would a witness, from the team, wish to remain anonymous?? no sense in this! and the findins stat that their decision was that briatore "must" have been behind this. i have yet to see conclusive proof. if it is factual than he is right to be banned, but if their is a miscarriage, he also has a right to a fair trial. let battle commence!

Richard.

I agree, why on earth has this witness got anonymity?
If they are not prepared to stand in the light of day and accuse Briatore then their evidence is invalid.

To accuse anyone on anonymous evidence is unjust, but hey this is the FIA under Max so I guess justice doesn't count!

It ain't Alonso as he is named just above the "whistle-blower" along with some of the other members of the team.

I think it's someone trying to get symmonds and flav off the hook by pinning it on NPJ. It's interesting to note that NPJ doesn't mention anyone else being in these meetings, so how can this whistleblower know what happened?

Still, i think it all ended right. NPJ wont get a drive in a hurry and the two team principles get a ban. I am not convinced that Alonso did know anything after reading all the support documents, but i reckon flav knew and was brazenly denying it. Symmonds should have denied it as well as the case hinged on his avoiding the issue.

Previously people have been arguing that Alonso had a suspiciously low quantity of fuel in the car as evidence that this was planned and that Alonso must have been in on the plan as he didn't question the strategy. The evidence dossier now reveals that Piquet says the crash plan was discussed shortly before the race. The fuel in the car was set 24 hours earlier. How would Renault have known to short fill Alonso 24 hours before the crash plan was discussed? Why did none of the pit crew think short filling Alonso was suspicious?

As Tim has stated, how come NP's testimony makes no reference to Witness X? If Witness X is senior enough to have been privy to a conversation about the possibility of a crash, why wasn't he senior enough to be able to take action to stop it? Why didn't he come forward after the crash and report it to the FIA? Without knowing the actual conversation, how can we be certain that he was no part of the conspiracy whilst accepting his word that Briatore was behind it?

What sort of meeting has Briatore, Symonds, Piquet jr. and X in it? X probably is Alonso. Says something about the man, doesn't it. Remember who told on Ron Dennis? Exactly.

And for the final: how does Alonso get rid of the contract with his manager?

According to the FIA dossier, Witness X says NP suggested the crash. Symmonds also says the crash was suggested by NP. NP said it was suggested by Symmonds. NP's immunity was based on him giving the full facts of the case. Why does this contradiction exist? Was Witness X questioned on this discrepancy?
