Maybe not Piquet Junior, but Piquet Senior could have come up with that idea. Piquet makes it look as if Briatore was making him fail as a grand scheme to put him against the wall in Singapore to force him to crash. Yeah right. Piquet Senior is poison, and I am sure Crash-gate has taints of Piquet Senior all over the place.

Whilst on a professional level, I have a small amount of sympathy for what he has lost as a result of his actions, the simple fact is that he acted stupidly and irresponsibly. Regardless of who made the initial suggestion and indeed even if it were his own, he should have immediately rejected it and refused to be any part of it.
He was comlicit in the denial and therefore deserves the punishment given.
Devotion to his team was no excuse - srely he must have known the damage that would have been cuased when and if the truth came out.
Silly man.

You guys beat me to it!

I don't think Piquet is that smart strategy wish.

And why in the world would a driver do that to help his teammate? Especially someone who could careless about him and wouldn't lift a finger to help him like Alonso?

piquet didnt crash for to help alonso, he actually crashed for to take his race seat under guarantee.

now two man said it was piquet's idea (symonds and witness x).

the man who planned and executed the action offered immunity, it is shame.
