Didn't Alonso get beaten by a rookie team mate (Hamilton)?

I think Massa can handle himself with Alonso, IF he has 100% health and vision return.

F1 » Massa can handle Alonso, contends Ecclestone

Double F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso will not be able to impose his will at Ferrari as the de facto number one, opines F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone - who is confident the convalescing Felipe Massa will be more than capable of holding his own.

First, I love Masa and wish him very well. Great human being, Alonso is a prig, I know, but as drivers

Bernie says:"Masa can handle Alonso".

Uh, errr, no.

I do believe that the two will get along and that Alonso will be different as there is literally nothing more for him to want .....

I have no particular allegiances apart from being a patriot, so I tend to root for the 'nice guys'. Therefore Massa will get my vote next year, not saying he is better than Alonso, but I hope he gets 'the breaks' next year and does better than Alonso. Gods sake, Ferrari were so incompetent last year they couldn't even deliver him a win with the FIA pushing them along...

Kimi is going to beat Massa all over the track. Massa is too unreliable. Kimi is the best, Massa doesn't deserve a Ferrari drive.
Just a sample of some of the comments made about Massa when Kimi joined Ferrari and again when driver's aids were removed in 2008. Wonder if I'll read more of the same again if Alonso is Massa's team mate.

Massa is not as complete a driver as Alonso, especially in bad weather.

I seriously doubt that anyone else could have gotten out of the past 2 year's Renault what FA did.''And no, Sweet Louie Hambone did NOT best Alonso, even with Ron Dennis' help. They basically had a draw.

Alonso is an easy target, in fact even I'll admit he a bit of a self-centered annoying man at times, BUT anyone denying his skills is not testing reality properly.

Oh yes, @Bernie, on that note: Who is less motivated than Kimi? Massa faster than Kimi? Only when Kimi doesn't care. LOL

Every where Alonso goes, there's trouble, and back stabbing. Who was involved in the Ferrari/Maclaren technical data fiasco?? Who did'nt like playing second fiddle to Hamilton, and now his name has been mentioned in the Renault cheating, as well!!!.
I say no more, but I think Ferrari are very brave employing him

I think Ferrari are looking for a driver like Shuey that will steer/lift Ferrari as Alonso did at McLaren and when he back to Renault rather than Kimi the driver that can drive any car fast if he wants to.

Two problems is that Ferrari are missing a key Brawn/Symonds type person in the team and Massa will benifit from any gain Alonaso might give the team (as Hamilton did)and will erk Fernd - an issue Domenicali will have trouble dealing with.

Ferrari will be a stronger but more fragile package next year and not good enough to win the WC.

I also sense that Kimi feels that Ferrari are not up to building a WC winning car reason he said he will not race unless he feels he can win.
