Quite right too. Damon has hit the nail on the head - the new races are paying top dollar to be associated with the likes of Silverstone, Spa and Monza. get rid of them, and what exactly is it bernie is selling.

I hope the BRDC stick to their guns on this one- if I was in their shoes I'd be charging Bernie rent to use the circuit

It is the BRDCs fault that they lost the GP. Apparantly, Bernie gave them a huge wad of tenners for track improvments etc. and all the BRDC did was build a new club-house for themselves! The BRDC should work on improving the track and facilities rather than sitting on their thumbs moaning about loosing the F1 race.

Hannah - British GP at Donnington, yes but the European GP should be at the Nurburgring.

Valencia has signed a three year (I think) contract.

F1 can afford to lose Singapore, Monaco, Valencia and Silverstone.

There are a lot better circuits e.g. Brno, Laguna Seca, Kyalami, Buenos Aries etc that F1 should go to.

I have been to Laguna Seca for a CART race. Beautiful place and great track layout. But to meet F1 standards for length and safety it would mean a major major investment. Just don't think they have the money for those types of upgrades. But I do like the thought of one being held in Monterey. A day at the races and a drive down to see Big Sur.

I would actually like to see a proper track in Scotland. All we have is Knockhill in Fife and it isn't exactly lengthy.

Silverstone is the rightful home of F1 in Great Britain simple as that. BE has been trying to oust this classic circuit ever since he got stuck in a traffic jam a few years ago. Yet again BE like his buddy MM throwing tantrums as he doesn't get his way.
Why should Silverstone roll over and change there plans to suit BE all because his plans don't work out. Silverstone and the BRDC have been treated disgustingly by BE over the years, now they are returning the favour, as they say what comes around goes around. No one the fans, teams and drivers don't want to lose Silverstone only BE. Silverstone and the BRDC have nothing to lose.

Forgot to add Imola to my list of circuits that should be in F1. Even with the silly pointless chicane at the Tamborello, it is still an immense circuit.
