Good well deserved results for Vettel and Trulli but what a boring race.

A lot of races are these days. The FIA c0cked up the series with their combination of rule changes and test ban. The changes that were meant to increase overtaking were negated by poorly written rules that eventually allowed the double diffuser.

Quite obviously, there are few people in the FIA who understand aerodynamics.

Having got up early, unfortunately I did not tape qualifying on Saturday morning but saw a number of replays of the Buemi inicident which resulted in a number of Drivers being docked 5 places. After the first time I am sure that I saw a green flag being waved just beyond where Buemi first hit the barrier. After subsequent replays I became convinced of this. Did anyone tape it & can check because if this is correct then where was the offending Yellow. Drivers were getting a green, not a yellow so were penalised out of a good starting position
This needs checking (I haven't got it) & if correct then the race became a farce

The green flag you saw was at the end of the debris field. They would have had a yellow as they approached the debris, and then another as they approached Buami's slow moving car recovering to the pits. The green flag you saw (if it was the same one I saw) was shown as drivers pased the debris, but before they reached Buemi.
If yelllows weren't shown, the drivers and teams would be protesting the penalties, but none have.

This victory for Vettel was well deserved and its put him right back in hunt for the championship. Its getting even more tense now, especially if the title isn't decided at Interlagos.
