For some perspective, USGP attendance (to my recollection) never dipped below 150,000. For an F1 race in *any* country, that is respectable. The problem with the USGP was that Tony George had the audacity to want to SHARE revenues and Bernie disagrees.

Secondly, despite the good attendance/loyal fan base, Bernie/F1 in general does *nothing* to promote the sport in the States. If he's the worldwide ringmaster, then where is the marketing in the BIGGEST MARKET???

Races here are either at the crack of dawn or middle of the night, we never see the drivers here, no magazines interview them, we get nothing. For our loyalty despite that we fans get lambasted for "lackluster support?"

F1 » New York could be future F1 venue, Ecclestone reveals

After Watkins Glen, Detroit, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas and Long Beach, could New York be set to become the next home of the US Grand Prix..?

They still hold the grand prix each year here in Long Beach. Its just that now were smart enough to not include Bernie.

Indianapolis never attracted large crowds? For an F1 race, I dare say a crowd of 100k - 150k people is extremely large. Extremely. Compared to other events at the Speedway, not so much.

Bernie is chasing money and building boring tracks. He must be following NA$CAR's businesss plan. How about Spa every year Bernie?

There is not a track in the US that is F1 ready. Outside of Indy. He probably wants a street race that will end up like Singapore. No thanks.
