No proof, really. It's quite simple, and also the reason why Frentzen was faster than Schumi all his career except in F1:

F1 is F1. F3000, Champcar, Superleage, kindergarten, whatever you throw at it: it's no F1. He may be fast in all classes, it's not important and of no consequence here. You have to be fast in F1, period.

Get to grips with it, your F1 career is over.

Seeing Bourdais fail makes me very happy. I despise him along with everyone else who was ever involved with CART and the ***** *** World Series (aka The Series Which Will Not be Named). I have dedicated my life to wishing the worst for Bourdais and all the others from ***** *** World Series and I will continue to post my hatred for CART/CCWS all over the Internet.

The IRL is going towards the CART formula business model. They have dropped more ovals to add street and road tracks. All the major players ARE former CART teams. Target,Penske,AGR,KVracing and others. Tony spent such a fortune to hold up IRL that he was thrown out of the family business. This is CART under the IRL umbrella you dork.

@rob01, you clearly know nothing about openwheel racing. If you did you would hate CART, the ***** *** World Series, and all those who participated in those fake formula as much as I do. Every motorsports fan should be grateful for Tony George's dedication to his vision for openwheel racing.

It was not a vision. He talked with France from NASCAR. He modeled his new series based on a stock car. All ovals and spec cars. Tony is the reason open wheel was DESTROYED in the states. Why do you think his family finally threw him out of the company? His ego cost 120 million dollars. His vision never paid off. And the CART racing was some of the best on the planet at that time. Ask some F1 fans. CART was a feeder for F1. Montoya,Zanardi,Glock and many others. Until Gannasi,Penske and Andretti Green came back because Tony paid for them. The series was crap on a stick.

You still have not answered the question harry. Why did the family throw out Tony? For the great job? His greed for wanting to create an open wheel nascar series caused his demise. It didn't work. He is only a team owner for Vision racing now. How ironic.

Tony George left his role with IMS and the IndyCar series due to the nautral maturation of the business. Bill Gates is no longer the CEO of Microsoft, does that make Mr. Gates a failure? Of course not, it is a natural progression of the business. In the case of Tony George, it was time for him to enjoy the fruits of his labor as a car owner competing in the greatest racing series in the world.
