Never mind Briatore, Alonso has got away again, scot free, for gross cheating. There was no attempt whatsoever to investigate his wafer thin claims of innocence by the FIA, he is clearly guilty for the second time too.

One must work with Max to know the wonders of his power. Alonso has twice.

Briatore would fit in well with the world of football. It is full of cheats and those who will willingly crash to get afree kick or penalty. A disgracful person for a disgracful sport.

"Briatore recently raised the prospect of a lawsuit against the FIA's verdict, vowing that when he is victorious, he will invite all his supporters to a great party."

Perhaps he has realized he does not have any supportes including his lawyers - not having made an official statement before this football club meeting to decide his fate.

Webber is a supporter of Briatore.

Now I'm not a great fan of Webber but he appears to be a nice all round guy, what does he see in Briatore that we dont?

He has defended him to the hilt when it looks like all have forsaken poor ol Briatore. Could it be the old oaf isnt the Villain the Media would have us believe?

Andrew - on another thread you said that everyone deserves a second chance. Does that include Flavio?

Mark - I would say that Briatore has had pleanty of chances to prove that he is not the bullying wannbe meglomaniac. His underhand ways go back to 94 when there were illeagal bits on Schumacher's car and other irregularities. I would say that Briatore has had enough chances and is hopefully gone from F1 for good. Sadly, his friendship with the powers that be may well come into play and he will have his punishment reduced, or mabye I am just being cynical.
