@red robbo, I may be remembering this through ****-coloured glasses, but my recollection is that for the few laps before, Brazilian TV focussed a lot on the great man and his solemn duty at the end of the race. Then someone got the lap counting wrong, he was rushed up the gantry step, I THINK he was actually facing the wrong way when the winner went by and he eventually waved the flag half-heartedly at third-place. But that may just be my evil mind playing tricks with me. No doubt someone equally evil has loaded it onto Youtube.

I'm the biggest Hamilton fan, but this is excellent news. It's scary to think how close he came to being blinded or worse. Here's to Felipe returning to the front of the grid where he belongs. :)

I was thinking about the Pele incident too.

They tapped him on the shoulder to let him know to wave the flag but instead of waving the flag he turned around to address the person who tapped his shoulder.
