surprised at the anti ferrari comments. but dont forget, if ferrari and luca had not taken a stance, then mad max would probably be continuing to be in control and changing the rules every day.formula 1 needs ferrari and ferrari need formula 1. to lose them woulf hurt the sport.

Another Ferrari cry wolf.

Iam a Mercedes-Benz nut as everyone knows by now.
So i comment in peace on this!

If Luca is truly genuine about this and doesnt take uni-lateral action then iam all for change. The aero changes imposed by the FIA have made no difference at all and much to the teams expense. In addition the FIA's flagship initiative KERS has faltered with ZERO support from the FIA where they could have made the system a real boon by giving it more power or a couple of seconds more use per lap. Again the teams footed the bill for it to the tune of hundreds of millions! Then the FIA want to cut costs? Laughable.

The big players Ferrari Mclaren etc need ideas quickly and implement them before F1 becomes GP2.

This is a simple case of Ferrari making every effort to ensure that Todt is elected. They know that with the Arab Nations now supporting the Vattenen bid for the FIA presidency that there's a possibility that their man won't get the top job. So what better way to make world motor sport leaders vote for Todt than to infer that Ferrari are likely to exit F1 and that JT only can save the day! Pure politics - Ferrari need F1 just as much as the sport benefits from their long involvement to-date.

R&D is not worth as much to car manufacturers as used to be before 3D computers hence manufacturers are reaccessing the high cost of F1.

Thought FIA and FOTA saw KERS a way forward for road cars car manufacturers don't want to put money into it.

Car manufacturers want brand exposure at low cost on the F1 scene.

F1 is going to have to change.

I think Luca wants Ari, not Todt. The FOTA expressed that indication just a few days ago.
