of course it should! these are reputably the best drivers in the world, and should be capable of driving no matter what the conditions. it was interesting to see that the newer drivers mastered the conditions best. congrats to barrow. he has really thrown a spanner in the works.

Yes - they are racing drivers supposedly. Unless downright dangerous due to aquaplaning then these "stars" are meant to be able to adapt. I admit it was slippy - watch the safety car having to correct wtc but that's life. Actually I hope it is changeable tomorrow - that will sort the racers from the poseurs.

Well.... judging by Liuzzi's crash it was bad then... so they should have waited another 10 minutes....

But they are profesional drivers who are being paid a tonne of money in probably the safest vehicles in the world and they know they are putting their lives at risk.... Obviously there is a fine line but I do think that was not bad enough to cancel quali... so I am glad they didnt... plus it left audiences entertained... espechally if you were watching off BBC and saw all of Eddie Jordans work! :)

It was right to go ahead. Lot of talk on the telly about 'Danger', but actually I can't recall anyone ever getting hurt in a wet race/quali because the speeds are so much lower. Plenty of danger to the cars of course, and the sponsors wallets!

A more appropriate question would be "is it right to hold the Brazilian Grand Prix at this time of year"?

F1 Should never take place in the rain as this results in the grid girls being over dressed.

:) :) :)

I'm with MG, don't overdress the grid girls! :D

Going to the point, why wouldn't they qualify? If this was NASCAR or IRL, running on ovals, then maybe it'd be dangerous. Now come on,this is F1, advertising their drivers as the best in the business, you have to perform unless you can't see even a line from the circuit. Other than that, just race on! And I hope the weather is like this tomorrow too (and how about a good ol' fashion pile up? Spa '98? Anyone? :D :D :D)

Of course it should've gone ahead, that Q3 was the most tense and exciting for a long, long time! Plus it's just made the championship fight a whole lot better, COME ON RUBENS!!! :D
