Personally I think Howett is a bigger problem than Trulli and Glock at Toyoda. I've said it before, Howett is a bit of a jackass.

The drivers have done the best they could and there are not many drivers out there who could have done that much more with the car than Trulli.

Howett is just harping on about how good that car alledgedly is and that it's the drivers who aren't delivering to cover up that it's really him who isn't delivering. He is ultimately responsible for all the cash Toyota pours in without results. He failed miserably and putting blame on drivers is just weak.

As he said himself it's a tough life, so I'm sorry John, but you need to go ASAP. Inadequate tool.

F1 » Trulli: Only one person wants me out of Toyota F1...

Jarno Trulli - still without a drive for the 2010 F1 campaign - has hinted that it is 'only' Toyota Motorsport President John Howett who is trying to force him out at the end of the season...

Jarno your a nice enough guy(brazil apart)

So why dont you take your over-inflated paypack elswhere and leave a seat for a driver who actually wants it like say...ooo...Kobayashi?

You have been measured and have been found wanting.
Force India or "newbie" team beckons at the very best.
Otherwise its back to your lovely vineyard in france!

The only thing the car has/had going for it is the diffuser, which should give them a good amount of downforce without too much drag. However, if you then look at quali in Monaco, the downforce track of the year, the car was horrible.
Still, at Monza with the low downforce, the engine power was clearly evident (for the ones that say engines are equal, the Monza grid had the 6 Merc engines in the top7 and all 4 Toyoda engines outside the top10, with Trulli 11th and the others at 16-17-18, only in front of the STRs).

So how exactly is this car as great as Howett would like us to think?

I thought Toyota were treating their drivers appallingly, it appears it's just Howett. I agree with JJJ, he should go. I would like to see Trulli and Glock stay in a Howett-free Toyota team, but I'd also like Kobayashi to be given a chance, he was a breath of fresh air in Brazil.

About the last comment from Crash: which 11 drivers are signed up for 2010? I only know 8 who have a drive as yet.

(so with engine power I mean the obvious lack of it)

Why would kimi go there.

The management structure in Toyota has been a major part of the problem from day one, the engine isn't the strongest and the chassis certainly isn't.

Look what read bull have achieved in their time as a team and look at what Toyota has achieved !

Toyota are there firstly to sell cars and secondly to go racing, I never believe howlers rhetoric about "we're racers blah blah"

I don't think this is going to help him a bit for his seat next season.

Trulli: "Only one person wants me out of Toyota F1"

Only one person? He must be talking about me then.

Ok put Kimi in a Toyota, if he wins John Howett is right, if he doesn't then they need a new president! Simple.
