I think all the team bosses would like Raikkonen given the chance. He is low maintenance and super talented. All the talk about him lacking motivation is just down to how he comes across talking in his second language and the fact he's laid back and doesn't engage in all the political crap you get from the Webbers and Alonsos. Webber is a total hypocrite, always quick to accuse other drivers of being wreckless, but one of the worst offenders himself as with ruining Kimi's race in Brazil. But Kimi is a class act and just gets on with things and makes the best of every situation.. A team bosses dream.

I wouldn't change that team, they obviously know where they are, what value in pilots they have and are ready to build on that.

Kimi is very talented, but as a loose cannon, he's worse in his way than Alonso is in his.

Trust me Raikkonen is a McLaren driver in 2010 - the deal is done already and will be announced at Abu Dabi... Remember where you heard it 1st!

'Kimi is very talented, but as a loose cannon, he's worse in his way than Alonso is in his'

Pray tell when Kimi has dissed his team mates, dissed his team manager, tried to blackmail his team manager or been involved in any scandals?

Luca will rue the day he got rid of Kimi for Alonso, it's clear Massa already has no time for FA.

Back on thread, how many times have we heard a team manager say 'There is no room in our team for...' only for a seat to magically appear for...

The vitriol against Alonso here never ceases to amaze me.

Q: Who of the three drivers (Including sainted Lewis) off at the same corner in wet practice at Interlagos had the driving skill to get the car back to the track and not require the crane to move the car?

Go back and check the DVR for the answer if you don't know, boys and girls.

In fact a contract in F1 is usually very valuable...definitely more than the worth of the paper it's written on.

See, even if a team (or driver) cancels the contract you'll get some if not all of the (usually) MNs specified in it. For example Bourdais got a nice chunk of change when STR chose to say bye bye. SImilarly though, Williams also got cash when Button decided to stay at Honda after all...

Very valuable indeed.

hey Whither Alonso, you are an absolute ass clown, kimi is by far better than alonso. kimi is no loose cannon. look back to the time when alonso was lewis hamiltons team mate at mclaren, he could take it that lewis was the better. alonso poisoned the spanish fans against lewis and thats why lewis was subject to racist abuse, also the singapore race scandal last year, he definitely knew about piquet crashing to help him win the race.

Ooops, caught talking to Kimi....

Seb Vettel has been good, but not exceptional this year, the strange ups and downs notwithstanding, I think his stock has slipped slightly. Still a great driver, talent, make no mistake.

Webber has pooped his panties every time he gets a look at it. Brazil saw yet another escape as he again hit someone else, ...lucky again, the "Stewards" turned another blind eye. All the quality drivers in F1 manage to start races and pass their peers during races without hitting other drivers.

Webber fails to. He is quick, but seriously flawed, plenty of drivers have been very quick, only the good keep on winning and are worth keeping.

the fact that he's had to come out and deny it makes me inclined to believe that Kimi moving to Red Bull is even MORE likely to happen.

Classic smoke and mirrors.
