Looks to me like Manor it is then. Branson is not stupid, he'll get plenty of exposure with Manor and at a fraction of the price. I applaud him for giving Brawn a leg up when they needed it. To get the same advertising space on a Brawn next year will cost squillions.

They should title sponsor Manor and rename them Virgin F1, probably the only way that team will actually get onto the grid next year. Carroll and di Resta as drivers would be good too.

I for one believe that the Manor team will be called Virgin F1. A member of KV Racing(IRL)made a visit to the team and on his twitter he said he was visiting Virgin F1. Don't know the connection as it was a team principle from KV(jimmy v).

Cardinal, good on you for reckoning Adam Carroll would be a good driver. He drove out of his socks to help us in ireland become A1GP champs, and having interviewed him a few times, especially when I was in Brands for the win, he is an exceptionally talented and focused driver, and a blooming nice guy into the bargain. ireland would be very proud to have him on the F1 grid every race. The only thing is whether he would have the Irish or British anthem if he wins, he wasd proud to stand to attention to the Irish one for A1GP, but as he is from Co. Down, in Northern Ireland, the Brits will probably try want God save the Queen. He will probably drive on an Irish super licence, that might sort it

From 1993 to 1995, Wirth was Founder/Owner/Technical Director of the Simtek F1 team, which started in the 1994 F1 championship. Simtek Research provided the team with all of the engineering and design of the cars. Wirth went on to become Chief Designer for the Benetton F1 team from 1996 to 1999. His partner at Simtek was none other than Max Mosley. Pays to know Max. Virgin seems to be in on all the Max deals.

Pot, let's hope we see AC in the car so we can revisit the issue of the anthem when he wins a race!! It happened with IRV the swerve as well if you can remember. I presume you are agreeing with me on AC being good enough for a drive as well as the anthem thing. It will probably help the likelyhood with Dave O'Neill being team manager of Manor/Virgin F1, he was team boss for Team Ireland as well.

Adam Carroll has been a great driver for ages, but obviouly hasn't been able to drum up enough of a budget to get the F1 teams to come calling. Money still talks sadly. A real shame as he is very talented and deserves his place on the grid. As he is from N Ireland, it'll be the GB anthem I guess. Didn't Irvine have the Republic anthem played once, and it all kicked off?
