Let's get this straight.

A multiple World Champion of MotoGP will race WRC again in 2010, but a multiple WRC Champion who can drift a race car sidways at three figure speeds inches from a mountain drop, cannot get a licence to drive round in circles on flat tarmac?

I would probably back a top rally driver as having greater car control than an F1 driver. Especially Loeb. I believe most would, wouldn't they?

So why no super licence?

thankfully common sense has prevailed, it could so easily descended into an accident waiting to happen.

weird decision. a multi world rally champion with racing experience, cannot get a licence to drive a f1 car, yet f3 drivers with minimal experience can! and further, f1 drivers can be let lose in wrc, without any off-road experience, driving on dangerous roads with spectators on every corner.!

Hello, first time posting in the F1 section...

Good point made by Richard. I am persoanlly just really disappointed. F1 does not hold a massive deal of interest for me, but I would have loved to see Loeb race. Still never mind.

Just had a look on Pitpass, and Loeb is rumoured to be in talks with USF1 about a drive next year. Nooooooooooo! If he is going to make the switch, please let it be with a decent (real) team.
